Project Overview
Hartwell Studio had an existing WordPress website, but the overall design no longer provided the modern and consistent presentation the business needed.
The project focused on improving the existing website rather than replacing everything unnecessarily. Useful parts of the original setup were retained while layouts, styling and responsive behavior were refreshed.
The result was intended to feel like a meaningful redesign while keeping WordPress practical for ongoing management.
The Challenge
The existing website lacked consistency between pages. Typography, spacing and section styles varied, making the overall experience feel less connected.
Some areas also required better responsive behavior, particularly where content became crowded or poorly aligned on smaller devices.
The redesign therefore needed to address both visual presentation and usability without making the website more complicated to maintain.

Strategy
Before redesigning individual sections, we reviewed the existing website to identify what was already working and what needed improvement.
This allowed the redesign to focus on meaningful changes instead of rebuilding functional components simply for the sake of starting again.
A more consistent design system was then applied across typography, spacing, buttons and recurring content sections.
The Solution
Existing pages were rebuilt and refined using Elementor, giving the website a cleaner design while maintaining the familiar WordPress editing environment.
Sections were reorganized to improve content hierarchy, calls to action were made easier to identify and responsive layouts were adjusted for smaller screens.

Design & Development
The redesign used a more consistent visual system across the website rather than styling every page independently.
Typography, buttons, spacing and content widths were refined to help pages feel connected. Mobile layouts were also reviewed individually to prevent oversized spacing, awkward stacking and alignment problems.
